More Paris Photos

The Palais Royal was one of my favorite places to visit.
It was just a short walk from my hotel.

These were taken on a cold afternoon and there weren't a lot of people there. Usually it was busy with children and families.

This was a downed tree in the Tuilleries.
Taken on another very cold day.
I liked the sculptural look of the roots.

Actually this IS a sculpture! :-) (By Guiseppe Penone.)" I wish he'd been with me when I photographed it. Sure looked like a tree to me but I should have known that they wouldn't leave a tree like that just lay around and disturb the perfection of the Tuilleries.:=]

Love these images of Palais Royal, a place I love to walk just steps from my appartement on rue de Richelieu. I always entered through passage de Beaujolais...
Merci for sharing...I miss my home.

Ahhh, no wonder I photographed your door. I spent a lot of time walking through the Palais Royal to go to and from my hotel. The Grand Palais Royal on Rue de Valois.
I was on your street many times. I love that neighborhood and would have booked an apt there for October but I wanted to be where the markets were and where the cafes were open later. 1st is a bit quiet at night. I loved the omelets at Le Belle Epoch just a street or two east of the Palais Royal.
Why are you not there? I couldn't bear to leave if that were my home. I wish I could sell everything I own and move

Hi Karen, I've really been enjoying your photos from Paris in anticipation for your October trip... I'm excited for you! And about that final pic of the downed tree in Tuilleries, I truly did think it was a sculpture until I read the caption.
I've been reviewing your other posts and am going to further explore now. Thank you!
